Walk-up COVID testing

Several sites in Jefferson County are offering free pop-up COVID-19 testing this week, with the city of Port Arthur hosting walk-up testing provided by the city and state on Tuesday, June 23, at the Bob Bowers Civic Center and Wednesday, June 24, at the West Side Development Center, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. No preregistration is required; show up, register on site and get tested.

In Beaumont, the National Guard Mobile Testing Team (MTT) will provide free COVID-19 testing at several locations. This will be “walk up,” but residents are being asked to provide good contact information, including a cell phone number, to be reached via text from MTT regarding results.

Multiple dates are scheduled in Beaumont, including:

* Monday, June 22- Borden Chapel Church, 3495 Roland Rd.

* Thursday, June 25- Sterling Pruitt Activity Center, 2930 Gulf Ave.

* Friday, June 26- Guess Elementary, 8055 Old Voth Road

* Monday, June 29- Forest Park Methodist Church, 225 S Major Drive
