Agencies released video surveillance image of a man who robbed a local bank on July 18
The Vidor Police Department (VPD) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) have released a video surveillance image of a man who robbed a local bank on July 18.
Police Chief Rob Carroll reported at 11:12 a.m., VPD received a report of a bank robbery that had occurred at the First State Bank of Texas, 1384 North Main St.
The caller advised that a black male in his late 30's entered the bank with a mask, displayed a gun and demanded money. The suspect left the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, according to Carroll.
The suspect entered a dark blue Ford late model step-side truck which was last seen headed northbound on North Main Street towards Interstate 10.
Carroll noted truck did not have a license plate but did have a chrome license plate cover with a Ford emblem within the cover. No one was injured during the robbery.
The Vidor ISD administration building and Pine Forest Elementary were briefly put on lockdown due to the incident, reported a district spokesperson.
The case is being investigated by both agencies.
