Dec. 2, at about 2:30 p.m., Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office (JCSO) Detectives and SWAT executed a search warrant at a residence in the 8600 block of Phelan in Beaumont. The search warrant was related to a series of auto burglaries that occurred over the weekend after Thanksgiving in the Hamshire-Fannett area and in the Bevil Oaks neighborhood in Jefferson County.

Deputies arrested two of the suspects believed to be responsible for the auto burglaries and subsequent use of some of the stolen credit cards, as well as made an unrelated arrest of another individual with outstanding traffic warrants: 17-year-old Jayson Arclies and 19-year-old James Wilson, both of Beaumont. They were charged with credit/debit card abuse, a state jail felony.

Investigators have also obtained an arrest warrant for two other individuals believed to be responsible for these crimes. Deputies are still searching for 21-year-old Adrion Curtis, of Beaumont, as well as a 15-year-old male accomplice.

Detectives conducted a search of the residence and vehicles, which yielded the recovery of stolen property to include several firearms.

“This investigation continues as Investigators identify more stolen property,” reported JCSO. “As we identify stolen property, we will notify the victims. Additional charges are forthcoming on all suspects. Please use this as a reminder to lock your vehicles, set your alarms and remove all valuables – whether they are in plain sight or not.

“If you have information related to these individuals or these crimes, contact Crime Stoppers at (409) 833-TIPS, www.833TIPS.com or download the P3 app. You will not be asked your name and you could be eligible for a cash reward.”
