Suspects in custody following HJISD hit list

After a Sunday evening social media post caused Hardin Jefferson Independent School District to close for the day, suspects have reportedly been taken into custody by authorities.

According to information from Sour Lake Police Department, "The source of the threat has been identified, and there are suspects in custody. We are confident that it is safe to return to school tomorrow."

HJISD authorities said there will be an increase in security measures at every campus and issued a reminder for parents: "Please stress to your children the importance of reporting information or suspicious behavior."
