Just before 8 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29, Port Arthur Police Department (PAPD) officers responded to the Jack in the Box at 4001 Twin City Highway in reference to a robbery that occurred.
Officers learned that a gun-wielding black man, clad in all gray and a mask, entered the restaurant and demanded money, according to a news released penned by PAPD Sgt. Terry Tran. The suspect then fled on foot with an undetermined amount of money. No one was injured in the incident.
PAPD officers searched the area, although they weren't able to locate the suspect. The incident is under investigation by the PAPD Criminal Investigations Division.
