Southeast Texas/Southwest Louisiana braces for Delta

The National Hurricane Center has now issued a Hurricane Warning from High Island to Sabine Pass as Hurricane Delta is expected to make landfall as a Category 2 hurricane in Southwest Louisiana on Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Lake Charles, La., Jefferson County residents can expect wind speeds of 40-50 mph with gusts up to 70mph plus 2-4 inches of rain and a storm surge of 2-4 feet.

Those in Orange County can expect the same wind probabilities with 4-5 foot storm surge and 4-6 inches of rain.
