Calder Baptist Church is launching a new fundraiser with proceeds to go to educational programs and ministries at the church. Called “Soup for the Soul,” church volunteers will cook and prepare soup, sides, and desserts, for lunch and dinner on Tuesday, Feb. 27, available for pick up at CBC located at 1005 N. 11th St. in Beaumont. From 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. then 4:30-7:30 p.m.

“We did a trail run a few months ago and received a great response,” said Jan Hallmark, one of the CBC volunteers. “We have some excellent cooks in our congregation, and they are pulling out their best recipes.”

Each individual $10 order includes either a generous serving of spicy vegetable beef or Southwest chicken soup. The order also includes your choice of homemade cornbread, chips, or seasoned crackers. For $2 more you can add on a delicious slice of lemon, chocolate, or pumpkin spice bundt cake.

Pre-orders of 10 servings or more qualify for delivery to home or office. For more information, please call (409) 892-4241 or go to calderbaptist.org.
