Silsbee High School and Lamar Institute of Technology are strengthening their partnership with a new dual-credit option.
Students in welding will now have the opportunity to take tuition-free college welding classes on the campus of SHS. Both SHS welding teachers are former LIT instructors.
Welding students will have the opportunity to earn a Level 1 certificate and participate and be recognized at LIT graduation along with SHS Early College High School students.
