Shooting at Scottish Inn

Saturday, Feb. 15, at 9 a.m., Beaumont police responded to a call from McDonald's on Interstate 10 in reference to a victim of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim who was suffering from a gunshot wound. 

The initial investigation revealed the victim had been shot inside a room at the Scottish Inn, located at 50 Interstate 10 North, and had fled to McDonald's on foot. The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

BPD reported that investigators believe the incident stemmed from illegal activity possibly involving narcotics. The suspect has not been located as of publication and the investigation is ongoing.
