A business compliance check and a human trafficking investigation by several agencies discovered two Asian females living and working without a license at 99 Spa, located at 360 S. Martin Luther King Jr. Parkway, according to Beaumont Police Department (BPD) press release that announced “numerous complaints and allegations of prostitution, trafficking and narcotics at the location.”

According to BPD, officers were assisted in the “business compliance check and a human trafficking investigation” on Oct. 13 by Beaumont Code Enforcement, Beaumont Fire Marshal’s Office, Homeland Security and an anti-trafficking specialist with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR).

“Investigators located evidence indicating sexual acts were taking place inside the business,” BPD further reported. Neither of the two women were arrested, both exiled from the premises by TDLR. No other information has been released and BPD stated the investigation is still ongoing.
