The Southeast Texas Regional Emergency Operations Center released its daily update of the six-county area's COVID-19 cases.

There are 288 confirmed cases of the virus in the six counties. That is up 13 from yesterday's report. Of those that tested positive for the virus, 58 have since recovered, leaving 220 active cases.

In Beaumont, a 50- to 60-year-old woman with underlying conditions died from COVID-19 complications. Her death marked the sixth death in the city of Beaumont and the 10th in the EOC area. As of publication, there are now 106 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Beaumont after 10 cases were confirmed by the city's public health department. 

Two additional cases were confirmed in Hardin County and Orange County. The total cases in those counties are now 69 and 50, respectively.

The numbers for Jasper (7), Newton (2) and Tyler (5) counties remained the same from yesterday.

The call center for the EOC 98 calls received today, and to date, 2,028 patients have been tested at the two testing sites.
