On May 27 at approximately 8:44 p.m., Port Arthur Police responded to Avery Trace Apartments located at 4140 Highway 365, in reference to a shooting. Upon arrival, officers located a male subject who had sustained several gunshot wounds. The subject was transported to a local hospital, where he later died as a result of his injuries.
The victim has been identified as 32-year-old Steven Allen Summerville.
This incident is actively under investigation by the Criminal Investigations Division of the Port Arthur Police Department.
