Port Arthur to close city facilities

Effective Monday, March 23, at 3 p.m., the city of Port Arthur will restrict public access to the city hall, annex and all city facilities. All the facilities will remain open, according to Port Arthur City Manager Ron Burton, but city services will be exacted via phone at (409) 983-8259 or online at pacovid19@portarthurtx.gov. For urgent matters, a staffer will man the front doors of each.

“Thank you for your patience and cooperation during this difficult time,” Burton said in a statement from the city. “Our hope is that we can resume normal service as soon as health and safety guidelines allow.”
