Port Arthur police are investigating an attempted robbery at a pawn shop on Twin City Highway just after 10 a.m. Feb. 13, according to a news release.

Upon arrival, officers learned that two male subjects entered EZ Pawn and began attempting to break the glass jewelry cases in an attempt to steal the property within. One of the subjects fired several rounds during the course of the offense.

It’s unclear what, if anything, was stolen and no injuries were reported. This case is under investigation by the Port Arthur Criminal Investigation Division.
