No vaping in or around City Hall

After complaints of city employees vaping inside City Hall, the Silsbee City Council approved a resolution to modify the Human Resource Police Manual to prohibiting employees from “vaping” inside or around city buildings.

The action was taken during the Oct. 17 regular meeting.

Previously, the city policy prohibited smoking inside or in the vicinity of a city building. The modification included “prohibiting vaping and other tobacco or nicotine products” within or around city buildings.
