A man is behind bars after allegedly firing several rounds into a woman's car as she was driving on Charleston Avenue.

Port Arthur police responded to reports of shots fired in the 800 block of Charleston Avenue around 10 a.m. Feb. 2, according to a news release. Officers found a female victim with minor injuries.
The victim told officers a known male subject, identified as Horace Minnard III, 35, fired several shots into her vehicle. A “short time” later, police found and arrested Minnard for aggravated assault. He was taken to the Jefferson County Correctional Facility for booking.
This incident is under investigation.
