Cullen Schmidt of Lumberton
A 22-year-old Lumberton man is facing charges in Louisiana for allegedly video recording a woman in the nude without her permission.
According to a release from the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office in Louisiana, detectives received a complaint on Jan. 24 in reference to a victim locating a nude video of herself. The victim told detectives the video was taken without her consent.
After further investigation, detectives determined Cullen C. Schmidt, 22, of Lumberton, was responsible for taking the video.
Jan. 25, a warrant signed by Judge Tony Fazzio in the amount of $95,000 was issued for Schmidt’s arrest. Smith was taken into custody on Jan. 26 in Texas and, on Jan. 31, he was extradited to Calcasieu Parish where he was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center and charged with video voyeurism.
