Saturday, July 22, head to the local beach at Texas Parks and Wildlife’s Sea Rim State Park in Jefferson County and enjoy a free fishing event to get the whole family involved.
Kids Fish, from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m., is the perfect time to visit Sea Rim State Park, 19335 TX-87 S. in Sabine Pass, to enjoy a free fishing event for children ages 1-12. The first 250 kids will also receive a free rod and reel and event t-shirt. Tackle and bait will be provided.
Prizes will be awarded by age group: 1-4, 5-8 and 9-12. Registration will begin 30 minutes prior to the event.
Staff and volunteers will be around to help with fishing questions, baiting hooks, unhooking fish and the like. Entrance fee to Sea Rim State Park will be waived for adults with participating kids.
