Multiple fire departments responded to a deadly mobile home fire that killed three people, including two children on March 9, north of Lumberton in Beaumont Colony.

According to Hardin County Sheriff Mark Davis, witnesses reported seeing flames coming from the double-wide mobile home around 2:20 a.m. in the 5400 block of Lakewood Drive. A 34-year-old woman, Monica Landry and a one-yearold infant escaped and were transported to a local hospital, but a male and two children, ages 4 and 11, died in the blaze. They were identified as Rhett Barrow Jr., 27; Braxton Barrow, 4, and Blake Alexander, 11.

Hardin County deputies, along with firefighters from the Kountze, Lumberton and Silsbee fire departments responded to the blaze. The home was a total loss.

Davis said his office is working with the State Fire Marshal’s Office and local fire investigators to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
