In honor of Giving Tuesday and as part of their ongoing commitment to community support, ExxonMobil Beaumont Complex Manager Michael Mustian recently presented substantial donations to four local charities, acknowledging and celebrating the positive impact each organization has on the community.

The Southeast Texas Family Resource Center, situated in Beaumont’s Charlton-Pollard neighborhood, offers after-school programs and summer educational enrichment to over 200 local children annually.

By providing a second home with caring guardians, the center aims to empower students for success in both their academic endeavors and future pursuits. As a United Way agency engaged in collaborative initiatives fostering positive cycles of growth and development, the Family Resource Center received a gracious $20,000 donation.

Nutrition and Services for Seniors, a nonprofit agency dedicated to enhancing the lives of older adults in Jefferson and Hardin counties since 1983, serves as the local division of Meals on Wheels. Beyond meal programs, the organization facilitates transportation to essential life-sustaining services and encourages pet ownership among its homebound clients. Acknowledging its innovative and effective programs, they received a generous $25,000 donation.

Catering to approximately 12,000 households grappling with hunger and food insecurity across eight counties, the Southeast Texas Food Bank operates from its MLK Jr. Parkway location and extends its services to rural areas through a mobile pantry. The organization also conducts nutrition education classes and an annual backpack program benefiting over 1,200 students. Expressing gratitude for its crucial role in the community, the Southeast Texas Food Bank received a $25,000 donation. In addition to the contribution, dozens of ExxonMobil employees volunteered Tuesday morning, packing several thousands of pounds of produce at the Southeast Texas Food Bank.

United Way of Beaumont and North Jefferson County, with a longstanding commitment to enhancing education, promoting healthy lives and fostering financial stability, has been a key player in improving the well-being of Southeast Texans. Working to fund programs that aid hard-working families in securing basic necessities like food and shelter, the organization received a substantial and gracious $145,000 donation, recognizing its vital impact on nearly 50% of all Jefferson County households facing financial challenges.

ExxonMobil closed out its Giving Tuesday festivities with a $40,000 donation presented to its educational partners at Lamar Institute of Technology.
