City announces additional COVID deaths

Aug. 18, the Port Arthur Health Department reported four COVID-19 related deaths in residents of Port Arthur, including three African American females between the ages of 75-80, 85-90 and 90-95. The other individual was a Hispanic male between the ages of 80-85. All of the individuals were previously reported as being COVID positive. Three of the four individuals were reported to have underlying health conditions. This brings the total to 24 COVID-19 related deaths for Port Arthur, as of this date.
