Beaumont and Port Arthur mayors are asking for those who need transportation out of town to evacuate from the pending impact of Hurricane Harvey to make their way to staging stations and eating buses as soon as possible.
From Port Arthur: This is an urgent message to Port Arthur citizens advising if evacuation transportation is needed you must be at the Bob Bowers Civic Center today by 10AM. If you require transportation to the Bob Bowers Civic Center please call 409-983-8767. They will not be accepting any citizen after 10AM today.
From Beaumont: Assembly operations will shut down at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 26.
If you do not have ANY means of transportation, here are a list of 9 assembly sites and one embarkation location. PLEASE TRY TO FIND OTHER FORMS OF TRANSPORTATION SUCH AS FRIENDS, FAMILY OR CHURCH MEMBERS.
Starting at 6 AM buses will run and allow pick up of individuals along the route and at bus stops. They will bring passengers to assembly locations or WestBrook HS. BISD buses will move people from the assembly sites to West Brook. Please use this evacuation choice as a very last option. If at all possible try to find another way to evacuate. Prepare for a long ride. ONE BAG PER PERSON.

If you have pets, you will have to have their shot records, food, a carrier/crate and a leash. You are welcome to go directly to Westbrook High School.
