Less than a year into probation for child sex abuse, Billy Lynn Woolley was again under the custody and care of Jefferson County jail staff Feb. 26, arrested and held without bail pending a bond hearing reportedly set for Feb. 27 in Jefferson County Criminal District Court. According to the jail roster, Woolley is accused of violating probation for aggravated assault, as well as impeding the breath or circulation of a domestic partnership victim, both charges he pleaded guilty to in October 2025.

April 2, 2025, a Jefferson County jury sentenced Woolley to 10 years on probation for indecency with a child. Additionally, Woolley was required to register as a sex offender, serve up-front jail time, and stay off social media platforms allegedly used in the past to victimize others.

Pending charges not finalized against Woolley at the time included sexual assault, aggravated assault, assault, and theft from a person, according to court records.

Reports that Woolley has been violating terms of probation have been reported before, with family of the child sex crime victim reporting that Woolley has since created Tinder dating profiles and, now, even more social media accounts are under review.

“He was caught with a Facebook profile using an alias, Tony Nguyen,” the witness told The Examiner. “When he absconded to California, he went by Texas Tony, and his mom’s maiden name is Nguyen.”

“Facebook actually banned his original profile (Billy Woolley) because they don’t allow registered sex offenders on the platform. There were no consequences for the Tinder account than his (probation) supervision officer told him to take the profile down. But, it seems that they are actually taking it seriously this time.”

As of this report, proceedings in Criminal District Court were pending.
