The Dowlen Road and College Street Chick-fil-A restaurants reopened May 5. The locations were shut down prior to an April 20 announcement that 114 employees had been tested for COVID-19 that day after cases were confirmed among staff.

The owner of the two Beaumont locations, Robert Henckel, sent a coupon for a free chicken sandwich to rewards members Tuesday to welcome patrons back to his stores. The location at 3825 College St. will be open from 10:30 a.m. through 7 p.m., while the one at 4050 Dowlen Rd. will be open from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Both are drive thru and mobile orders only.
