Beaumont confirmed 25 new COVID-19 cases and zero deaths Jan. 28, according to data from the city's Public Health Department.

According to data from the Department of State Health Services (DSHS), Jefferson County has confirmed 16,772 cases and 296 deaths as of Jan. 28. Hardin County has confirmed 2,223 cases and 77 deaths as of Jan. 28, while Orange County has reported 3,518 cases and 90 deaths.

Physicians suggest residents purchase a pulse oximeter to monitor oxygen saturation. If that level drops below 92, immediate medical attention should be sought.
