The Southeast Texas Baseball Academy will be hosting 185 teams at the Perfect Game Fall Super NIT at Ford Fields and throughout the community Nov. 13-14 as teams from Texas, California, Arkansas, Missouri and Louisiana will be heading to Beaumont to compete. This will be the largest fall tournament in the history of Ford Park and the second largest overall to the 230-team tournament that took place in April 2021.

The Beaumont Convention and Visitors Bureau has been working with the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy in booking sports business at Beaumont’s local facilities all year. So far, an estimated economic impact of over $2.4 million through nine tournaments has been collected in baseball alone, showing sports tournaments are vital to the community.

The Perfect Game Fall Super NIT has as estimated economic impact of $260,000, using hotel rooms citywide and will bring a large economic boost to area restaurants, retail stores, attractions, and more.

“We are so happy to have the continued support from our community and these sports planners who use Beaumont to host their tournaments,” said Beaumont CVB Director of Sales, Freddie Willard. “Baseball isn’t just for the summer, it is year-round, and we are lucky to have these partnerships and facilities to host business.”

With the new partnership with Perfect Game this year, the Southeast Texas Baseball Academy has seen an uptick in the number of teams and access to international play. With a mission of hosting quality amateur tournaments and providing meaningful opportunities to players, families, MLB organizations, college coaches, and fans, the expansion of Perfect Game to a younger demographic has been ideal for the area.

“We are excited to host the Perfect Game Fall Super NIT at Ford Park, Marauder Park, West Orange High School, Port Neches Little League and Senior Field, and Baseball for Everyone,” stated President of Southeast Texas Baseball Academy, Morgan Walker. “Working with Perfect Game has given us so much more access to the number of teams we can host, and we could not be more excited about the tournament and the impact it will have on Beaumont and Jefferson County.”

The Southeast Texas Baseball Academy is set to host two more tournaments this year, averaging between 100-200 teams.

Ford Fields at Ford Park is located at 5115 Interstate 10 South in Beaumont.
