For the second consecutive year, the Academy of Country Music has recognized the Golden Nugget in nearby Lake Charles, Louisiana, by nominating the property for the “Casino of the Year – Arena” at the forthcoming 59th Academy of Country Music Awards, which will be streamed live exclusively for a global audience across more than 240 countries and territories on Prime Video on Thursday, May 16, at 7 p.m. from Ford Center at The Star in Frisco, Texas.

The Emmy-nominated, star-powered experience will celebrate country music’s biggest stars and emerging talent, and feature unforgettable performances, exclusive collaborations, and unexpected moments that will captivate fans worldwide.

Nominations in the Industry Division for Casino of the Year – Arena include the Golden Nugget Lake Charles, Hard Rock Live at Etess Arena (Atlantic City, New Jersey), Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (St. Louis, Missouri), Mohegan Sun Arena (Uncasville, Connecticut) and Mystic Lake Casino Showroom (Prior Lake, Minnesota).

Golden Nugget Lake Charles has produced massive amounts of top-flight entertainment every week since opening in December 2014. Last year alone, the Grand Event Center inside the Golden Nugget has hosted the biggest names in country music such as Lainey Wilson, Carly Pearce, Tracy Lawrence, Travis Tritt, Gary Allan, Diamond Rio, John Anderson, Tanya Tucker, Ronnie Milsap, Chris Cagle and Marcus King, among others.
