Band to perform March 14 at Bayou Music Center
Multi-platinum rock band Theory of a Deadman will headline the “Rock Revolution Tour” featuring a performance by Skillet and Saint Asonia on Tuesday, March 14, at the Bayou Music Center (520 Texas Ave.) near downtown Houston.
Tickets start at $35 and can be purchased online at ticketmaster.com.
Theory of a Deadman is touring in support of their forthcoming album, “Dinosaur,” which is due out March 17 on Roadrunner Records and features an evocative of the chart-topping Canadian band’s signature wit, “Two of Us (Stuck),” which takes a hard left from the refrain of the Grover Washington Jr. and Bill Withers classic “Just the Two of Us” into a breezy piano-laden breakup bop, as well as two-Top 10 rock hits, “Dinosaur” and “Ambulance.” It can be pre-ordered online at theory.lnk.to/dinosaur.
Forming some 20 years ago, the band has recorded massive rock radio hits like “All or Nothing,” “B*tch Came Back,” “Low Life,” “Hate My Life,” “Not Meant to Be,” “Bad Girlfriend” and “RX (Medicate).”
I last spoke to lead vocalist Tyler Connolly in 2008. I remember specifically asking him about the writing of the hit song, "Not Meant to Be," with then "American Idol" judge Kara Dioguardi. Fast forward some 15 years later, Connolly and I chatted about the evolution of writing a new record, inspirations, streaming and more:
