Symphony of SETX

The Lutcher Theater in Orange opens their 43rd season with “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.,” an electrifying tribute celebrating the legendary Aretha Franklin on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $35-$65 and can be purchased online at lutcher.org. “R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Groves Pecan Festival 2022

The 53rd annual Groves Pecan Festival opens Thursday, Oct. 13 through Sunday, Oct. 16, at Lion’s Park (6200 Jackson) in the heart of Groves.

U.S. Navy Commander Jazz Band at Jefferson Theatre on Nov. 9

The U.S. Navy Band Commodores will perform a free show at the Jefferson Theatre on Wednesday, Nov. 9, at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available for pickup at the Beaumont Civic Center box office (701 Main St.) in downtown Beaumont from Monday-Friday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Orangetober Festival

The City of Orange Convention & Visitors Bureau will host the second annual Orangetober Festival on Oct. 7-9 at the Riverside Pavilion, located at 708 Simmons Drive, in Orange. The Orangetober Festival is sure to provide fun for the entire family with a great variety of events and activities.

Hometown Huddle

United Way’s “Hometown Huddle – One Pot Throwdown” returns Thursday, Oct. 13, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. at the Beaumont Civic Center (701 Main St.).

‘The Crucible’ at the Port Arthur Little Theater

It’s the final weekend of Port Arthur Little Theatre’s rendition of Arthur Miller’s Tony Award-winner, “The Crucible,” on Friday, Oct. 7 through Sunday, Oct. 9. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Oct. 7-9 and 2:30 p.m. on Oct. 9.

Scarecrow season at Shangri La

It’s beginning to look, and feel, a lot like fall. Each October, Shangri La Botanical Gardens and Nature Center in nearby Orange hosts the largest Scarecrow Festival in Texas with dozens of hand-crafted scarecrow exhibits displayed throughout the gardens.
