The Stark Museum of Art in Orange has an inspiring new exhibition, a first of its kind, which explores the path of Black history in the West with a timeline of original pictorial quilts.

Comedy on the Avenue

Comedians Roderick McDaniel and Cody Miears will headline Comedy on the Avenue. Miears, of Austin, began performing in Chicago before packing up his car and heading for Texas. Miears has been seen opening for the likes of Sam Tripoli, Louis Katz, and Eddie Bravo.

Monster Nation

Monster National is celebrating two decades of monster truck mayhem with 1,800 tons of dirt and smashed metal. The country’s toughest monster trucks will compete including Dirt Crew, Dozer, Maximus, Tailgator, and for the first time in Beaumont, The Veteran Truck and the allnew Blockhead.

Kevin James began his career as a stand-up on the Long Island comedy scene. He was discovered in 1996 then signed a network development deal to create his own sitcom.

Exhibition Opening

This exhibition of original pictorial quilts, the first of its kind, explores the path of Black history in the West with a timeline beginning in 1528, marking the arrival of Africans in the American West and continuing through the Civil Rights Movement.

Family Fun Day

The museum will host a day filled with fun and education. In addition to free admission to the museum during the event, there will be animal experiences, balloon animals and other circus entertainers, and crafts and games for the kids. The 39,000 square foot Museum is located at 700 Procter St.
