A woman was arrested on several charges after officers were called to a shooting on March 14.
According to the Beaumont Police Department (BPD), officer went to an apartment at 2950 S. 8th St. reference to a victim of a shooting at 10:26 p.m.
The preliminary investigation has revealed a very complex situation, but essentially an ex-girlfriend broke into the victim's apartment. More individuals arrived and became involved in the situation.
A struggle over a gun ensued and one person was shot. The person was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
The suspect, Annie Robinson, 25, who broke into the apartment, was arrested for burglary, interference with public duties and resisting arrest.
The incident was investigated by Family Violence detectives.
