LISD Veterans Day drive-thru parade set

Lumberton ISD will host its third annual Veterans Day Drive-Thru Parade on Friday, Nov. 11, at Lumberton High School, 103 S. LHS Drive. Veteran lineup starts at 8:30 a.m. on Loop Road at the Ag Barn behind LHS.

Beaumont ISD campus programs and events:

Amelia - Program at 2:20 p.m. with the Beaumont United High School ROTC presenting the colors and a performance from the choir, consisting of third, fourth and fifth-grade students.

Blanchette - Program at 9:30 a.m. with the Beaumont United NJROTC and Drumline; PTA will serve breakfast to all veterans immediately after the program.

Charlton-Pollard - Choir and student council members will assist campus business partner Port of Beaumont with their luncheon for veterans.

Curtis - Third-grade presentation, 1:30 p.m., and Veteran Valet during morning drop off.

Dishman - Veteran Valet during morning drop off.

Fehl-Price - Program at 1 p.m.

Fletcher - Fourth-grade presentation at 1:30 p.m.

Regina-Howell - Program at 8:15 a.m.

West Brook - 10 a.m. Program at the Performing Arts Center.

Temple to the Brave

Temple to the Brave will be open on Veterans Day from 2 – 5 p.m. Located in Pipkin Patriot’s Park downtown across from the Port of Beaumont.

Flag retirement ceremony Nov. 12

The City of Silsbee and Boy Scout Troop 88 will conduct a flag retirement ceremony at 10 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 12, at the Veterans Memorial Park on Earnest Street.

During the event, veterans will be recognized and honored.

The public is encouraged to bring their old and worn flags to retire.

Veteran Resource Fair

The first-ever Hardin County Veterans Resource Fair is Wednesday, Nov. 16, at the Hardin County Court Room. Hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
