Hardin-Jefferson ISD band director and Symphony of Southeast Texas musician Michael Westbrook is said to be in critical condition at a Southeast Texas hospital as he is diagnosed with the COVID-19 coronavirus. Friends of the Westbrook family report that Westbrook has been in the hospital for days, is exhibiting a fever over 104 and experiencing some organ failure.

Hardin County’s Michelle Brewer was asking for the community to keep Westbrook and his family in prayer as his condition took a turn for the worse on Thursday, March 26.

“Let’s all agree together for a miracle for Mike,” she urged.
