Teen indicted for terroristic threat

A Tyler County grand jury indicted a 17-year-old high school student for felony terroristic threat.

According to Sheriff Bryan Weatherford, District Attorney Lucas Cabin presented the case to the grand jury on Sept. 29. Chassin Tausch, a Colmesneil High School student, was charged with felony terroristic threat. Justice of the Peace Ken Jobe set the teen’s bond at $50,000 and required numerous bond conditions to be met, including constant surveillance via an ankle monitor.

Sept. 21, Tyler County Sheriff’s Office (TCSO) deputies arrested Tausch for making a terroristic threat to a school. He remains in the Tyler County Jail.
