Sex offender sought

The Orange County Sheriff’s Office secured a warrant for the arrest of convicted sex offender Robert James Perry on July 21, and is asking for the public’s help in bringing the fleeing felon to justice.

OCSO reports that Perry is required to register annually, but has failed to keep up on his requirement. Perry reportedly has ties to Jefferson County, as well as the city of Vidor, and “is known to be in the roofing business,” according to the investigating agency.

Perry was convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child involving a 12-year-old girl.
