In a three-month span, a Port Arthur man stole items and equipment from several stores – hitting the same establishments multiple times, police allege. Jan. 18, the Jefferson County grand jury indicted him on 10 counts of felony theft with prior convictions, along with failing to complete registration as a sex offender.

Henry George Green Jr., 45, is currently in the Jefferson County Correctional Facility under a $216,000 bond.

According to a host of probable cause affidavits, Green is accused of the stealing from Figueroa’s Welding Wear in Port Arthur on Oct. 14, 2022; multiple items from Lowe’s on Oct. 26, Nov. 6, Nov. 8, Nov. 9, Nov. 14, Nov. 16 and Dec. 4, 2022, valued at more than $4,200; and $720 worth of shirts from the Boot Barn on Dec. 1, 2022.

Nov. 11, Green, who was reportedly residing in the 3400 block of 15th Street in Port Arthur, was reported not living at the home by his mother. Green was discovered living on 12th Street and arrested for failing to complete registration as a sex offender.

During his series of thefts, an arrest warrant was issued by the Beaumont Police Department.
