LU welcomes students from around the world

As Lamar University students return to the Beaumont campus for the Spring 2023 semester, hundreds of scholars are traveling thousands of miles to be a part of Cardinal nation. This past week, 246 new international students “and a few more,” arrived on the Southeast Texas campus, hailing from all five continents.

“Lucky me to get to meet and serve new global ambassadors and guest scholars of the United States,” Lamar University International Education & Services’ Mustapha Jourdini commented. “Y’all welcome here!”
