Beaumont Children’s Museum will host a special LEGO Day on Saturday, Sept. 17, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 for adults and children, and kiddos 1 and under are in free. BCM is located inside the Civic Center at 701 Main St. in downtown Beaumont.

LEGOs are the plastic building-block toys that rose to massive popularity in the mid-20th century. LEGO blocks originated in the Billund, Denmark, workshop of Ole Kirk Christiansen, who began making wooden toys in 1932. Two years later he named his company LEGO after the Danish phrase leg godt (“play well”).

Bring your little builders, engineers, and architects to the BCM to enjoy LEGOs along with other building challenges, activities and crafts.
