JSCO detectives find $19,000 worth of meth in Nederland home

Sunday, Jan. 19, two Nederland residents were arrested after a search warrant yielded approximately $19,000 worth of suspected meth, among other illegal narcotics and stolen property, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives arrested Keri Collen Beck, 43, and her boyfriend, Joshua Ray Bergeron, 38, for possession of a controlled substance and fraudulent use or possession of identifying information. Officers found more than a pound of suspected methamphetamine, a small amount of marijuana and a “large” assortment of drug paraphernalia. 

Also recovered at the residence were checks, credit cards and other personal documents believed to have been stolen from victims in Jefferson and Chambers counties. The couple were also in possession of equipment used to produce fraudulent documents by using the victim’s personal information for monetary gain, according to the sheriff’s office.

This investigation is ongoing.
