The Art Museum of Southeast Texas (AMSET) will stay open late to host First Thursday on June 2, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. This event will feature live music from vocalist DeAndre Nico, the Port Arthur native who recently earned local and national fame with attaining Top 10 contestant status on “The Voice.”

Nico is currently working on his debut studio album and developing his sound with some of the music industry’s legendary and hit-making producers, writers and artists. The singer started at the young age of 9 with his church, and was soon cast in plays and at various venues such as BET Gospel Channel, The Jeff Major Show, Bobby Jones Gospel Show, TBN Christian Channel, Show Time at the Apollo, and Stellar Awards.

Enjoy a glass of wine or a craft beer provided by the cash bar with light refreshments while listening to Nico and viewing the artwork that AMSET has to offer. Admission to this event is $5 per person. Tickets can be purchased over the phone by calling (409) 832-3432 or at the door the night of the event. For more information, visit www.amset.org.
