The surge of natural gas prices will cause Entergy Texas customers to see a higher bill than usual in September, the company announced, and the company has vowed an increase in corporate contributions by nearly $1.7 million, as well as implementing additional actions, to assist customers in defraying anticipated challenges in paying the coming bills.

According to the Entergy announcement, a $150 bill credit will be available for qualifying statewide customers through the United Way of Greater Houston, the company will provide an additional $213,000 for The Power to Care program that assists qualified senior customers and customers with disabilities, security deposits for qualified customers will be expedited, and Entergy will allot $170,000 to local partner agencies to help with bill assistance.

Additionally, Entergy Texas is crediting all residential customers any fees associated with payments by credit card for the months of July, August and September.
