Beaumont city councilman Taylor Neild was at home with his family when they were alerted to the sounds of an unknown intruder in the garage. According to Neild’s recounting of the event, as he entered the garage, the councilman saw the intruder crouched with his back turned. Taking the opportunity, Neild pounced – and held the burglary suspect until Beaumont police arrived.
According to information from the attending law enforcement agency, the intruder is listed as a 17-year-old juvenile.
