BISD to resume classes Sept. 15

The Beaumont Independent School District (BISD) announced plans to resume classes at all campuses Wednesday, Sept. 15, according to a news release from a district spokesperson.

"After a review of current and forecasted information regarding Tropical Storm Nicholas, BISD plans to return to school on Wednesday, September 15, for all campuses," the release read. "The district will continue to monitor TS Nicholas and its impact. BISD will send out information via the website, call-outs, emails and social media if predicted weather event changes.

"Please remember to keep you and your family safe during this time. Please make sure to heed the warnings and follow the directives issued by our local authorities."
