Mississippi State hired Nederland native Kevin Barbay as the team’s new offensive coordinator. Barbay, 40, took the job after leading Appalachian State to one of the nation’s top offenses.

He has also spent time at Central Michigan and Florida. He earned a bachelor of science degree with a major in exercise science and fitness management from Lamar University in 2005 and a master of science in education-sport management from Baylor in 2007.
