Get Youth Outdoors Day
Provost Umphrey Law Firm, LLP and the Union Sportsmen Alliance (USA) are partnering to bring a sporting clays shoot and free youth outdoors day to Southeast Texas on Sunday, April 24, during the second annual "Get Youth Outdoors Day."
From 11:30 a.m. to 4 p.m., children ages 9-15 are invited to participate at the One in One Hundred Gun Club located at 1228 FM 421 road in Lumberton.
The event is free, open to the public and will kick off with a complimentary lunch. Free door prizes will be given out including two private hunting trips donated by Provost Umphrey Law Firm. Kids will then partake in various activities including practicing casting fishing lines. Local volunteers, trained in firearms safety, will provide hands-on introductions to sporting clays shooting and archery. Equipment will be provided to participants. “I am looking forward to getting kids outdoors for the day, and maybe they’ll pick up a skill or two that they may have never attempted before,” said Joe Fisher, Provost Umphrey managing partner. “It’s going to be a great event and will get kids outside for a good time.”
The firm will also be hosting a clay shoot the day before, on Saturday, April 23, at the One in One Hundred Gun Club. Registration information can be found online by clicking HERE
