The Hardin-Jefferson Hawks will have a new head football coach and athletic director next season in Nederland graduate Zach Bass, who comes to Sour Lake from West Brook where he was the associate head coach and offensive assistant for the Bruins. He will replace Dwayne Dubois, who retired in March.

Bass’ career began as an assistant at LaPorte, then on to PN-G and Port Arthur Memorial. He was also the head coach/athletic director at Tarkington.
