Tailgating for a cause

Monsignor Kelly High Scholl Alumni hosted “Getting in the Spirit of Tailgate 2022” last weekend. Sensational sponsors such as the Wortham, Mazzola, Saba, Daleo, Rinando, Bitar, Little and Montalbano families as well as Kent Dillow, Gay and Bill Scott, just to name a few. Huge shout outs to event chairs Katie Bitar and Lauren Little, decorations chair Nicole Saba, live auction chairs Shana Briggs and Connie Hebert, silent auction Craig Tahaney, bar chairs Christi Lawdermilk and Amy Maloney, food chair Dynasy Phelan and auctioneer Milt Prewitt. Manning the food stations were freshman vignette the Daleo, Gagne and Moore families, sophomore vignette, Phelan and Edwardson families, junior vignette, the Isabell, Brocato and Brandimarte families, senior food station, the Ohmstede and Hayes families, school board vignette, the Meadows, home and school food station, the Babineaux and Duhon families, and the alumni vignette, the Reynolds, Heinz and Beaver families. Generous bidders were Craig Sherlock, Mandy Mazzola, Lisa Mathews, Heather Bell and Richard Scott. Taryn Bienvenu and Kennady Porter did an excellent job coordinating the successful fundraiser. Dining, dancing and bidding during the fantastic evening were Tara and Justin Audilet, Kim and Dade Phelan, Gillian and Will Jenkins, Brandy and Frank Coffin, Rocky Lawdermilk, Kara and Kevin Brown, Dawn and Gene Isabel, Kim Dillow, Juan Cantu, Gabe Cantu, Erica and Dean Sales, Tish Sodolak, J. Future fundraiser dates… Mark your calendars for Family Services of Southeast Texas Women & Children’s Domestic Violence Shelters for a Clay Shoot on Saturday, Sept. 24, at the One in One Hundred Gun Club. For more info contact Bonnie Spotts (409) 833-2668. The Symphony League of Beaumont will host their “All About Bourbon – A Tasting Event” on Wednesday, Oct. 5, from 6:30-9:30 p.m. at 434 Fannin. Also, the Gift of Life’s “Monster Dash” Say Boo to Breast Cancer & Ovarian Cancer Julie Richardson Procter 5K Ribbon Run on Saturday, Oct. 29, in downtown Beaumont. SMORES (Single Mothers Empowered Rejuvenated & Empowered) will host a “Thankful Grateful Bingo” night on Thursday, Nov. 10, from 6-9 p.m. at Rockin’ A Café. The Catholic Charities 29th annual Harvest of Hope honoring Diane and Don Shaver will be held Thursday, Nov. 10, with invitation to follow at the Jack Brooks Airport hangar featuring music by Tracy Byrd.

Listening… A free “Taste of the Arts” lecture is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 9, from 12:30- 1:30 p.m., with renowned fine art photographer Keith Carter at the Art Museum of Southeast Texas. Be there!

Bridget got a brother… Annie and Bud Briggs welcomed their second image Robert (Bobby) Bruce Briggs on Aug. 8. Congrats!

Storkmarketing… Mattie and John Beaver welcomed their first image, Mary Ellen “Nellie” Beaver, on Aug. 24. Parents and grandparents are esthetic over the beautiful young lady. Congratulations!
