The gift of giving
The Gift of Life was overwhelmed by the gratitude and love they received during their 2022 Toyota Highlander XLE SUV giveaway as they raised approximately $140,000 (gross) for their Men’s Health and Prostate Cancer Program. The drawing was held last Thursday at 5 Under Golf and the winner of the brand-new Highlander was Alexis Roby. Regina Rogers and Norma Sampson were thrilled with the tremendous support and turnout. Supporting the cause at 5 Under were Emily and Scott Brackin, Lauren Bebeau, Brad Klein, Elaine Henderson, Don Shaver, Christina Amuny, Rodney Robichau, Matthew Fischer, Janis and Zack Skelton, Joey Armstrong, Kelly and Tommy Patrizi, Jeff and Emily Wheeler, Fred Carver, Austin Williams, just to name a few. What a program!
The Texas Regional Title Neches River Four-Ball Golf Tournament was held last weekend at the Beaumont Country Club with 142 golfers vying for a trophy title while raising for the local golf association. Seen swinging their clubs on the greens were Chance Lemoine, Skylar Petroski, Charles Flowers, Mac Ezell, Cody Bonvillion, Terry Garth, Ross Robichau, Cody Thompson, Ken Moncla, David Jew, Kevin Picard, Scott Terry, Mike Krautz, Michael Krautz, Doug Harvill, Mike Harvill, Andy Hanna, Morgan Porter, Cody Atkins, Taylor Blackwell, Ryan Miller, Chris Foster, Stan Matthews, Wally Voighman, Richard Dukes, Brent Walters, Clint Walters, Scott Clements, J.T. Greak, Jesse Mudd, Matt Sheehan, David Jones, Matt Nicklaus, Anthony Broussard, Casey Clendenon and others. Wahoo!
B-day bash… Precious Haylee Faggard was fêted on her special bday last weekend at the nearby Pine Tree Lodge as friends and their offspring plus family enjoyed the fantastic evening. In the mix were mom Maris Mehaffy, dad Mark Faggard, pals Emily Trevino with daughter Elizabeth, Lauren and David Thieme, Allison and Ross Heare, Blair Serna, Allie and Tom Kelley, Kristin Peyton, Kayla Koch, Annette Wade, Collette and Carey Shelander, Colleen and John Hartel, Taryn King, Kellsey and Jeff Fairchild, Miranda and James Looney and Brittney and Tim Ferguson, who rounded out the group.
News of I do… Third son Sam Lombardo, of Sally and Randy Lombardo, exchanged vows with Amanda Collins at Chapelwood United Methodist Church last Saturday evening and then celebrated with a reception at Lakeside Country Club in Houston. Toasting the precious couple were the bride’s parents, Laurie and Chris Collin, and the groom’s siblings, Olivia, Nat, Noah and Jessie Lombardo, grandfather Tom Lombardo, grandmother Robllyn Herndon, family members John Herndon, Karen and Kevin Henry, Jonas Fertitta, Mary and Luke Fertitta, Nicole Fertitta, Marshall Henry, Carolyn and Mark Fertitta, Katy Fertitta, Anna Mae and R.T. Infanticapting… Christina and Josh Lokey and soon to be daughter, Vivien Marie Lokey, were showered this past Sunday afternoon in the home of gorgeous estate of Johnnie and Joe Broussard. Hostesses with the mosts were Crystal King, Carol Majdalani, Kate Leveret and Kate Thorne. The beautiful buffet was filled with delicious childhood fav foods of the mother to be from Bando’s and included croissants, fancy finger sandwiches, vegetable orzo pasta, chocolate chip cookies and a cake by Kay Palumbo. Designer cookers by Kalene Cooks were gift favors to go. More than 60 guests attended including Cathy Majdalani, Marie Bando, Debbie Bando, Joyce McMakin, Marian Broussard, Tea Do, April Pearce, Lori Zummo, Libby Stomas, Mattie Beaver, Stephanie Figari, Tina Almond, Amanda Danna and many more. What a party for the mother to be!
