Country music artist Glen Templeton returns to Southeast Texas to perform at Honky Tonk Texas in a fundraiser for the Hardin County-Go Texan program Saturday, Jan. 8, at 8 p.m.

“I’m not sure I chose country music, in a way it kind of chose me” claims the blue-collared hero Templeton, who was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. His legacy began to unfold when he was hand-picked by the daughters of country music legend Conway Twitty to portray their father in the touring musical tribute to the late icon. His star-studded debut launched the beginning of an epic journey, catapulting him into the public eye with appearances on CMT, the Grand Ole Opry, the Ryman Auditorium and more. Sharing stages with the likes of legends such as Loretta Lynn, George Jones, Montgomery Gentry, and countless others, Templeton has amassed an immeasurable number of faithful fans and followers, contributing to millions of streams on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube, while simultaneously securing No. 1 spots on the radio charts thanks to songs like “Ball Cap,” “Country Boys for Life,” “I Could Be the One,” “Hip to be Country,” “Run with Me” and “The Way Things Ain’t.”

Tickets are $20-$25 and can be purchased online at honkytonktexas.us. Honky Tonk Texas is located at 2389 US Highway 96 N in Silsbee. For more information, call (409) 386-1995.
