The Neches River Festival, established in 1949, is the longest continuously running festival of its kind in Texas. The annual celebration features a street party on Crockett Street, which includes live music, food trucks, and more for families to enjoy Friday at 5 p.m. The main event of the evening begins at 6:30 p.m. with a parade that winds through Downtown Beaumont with more than 60 floats featuring festival participants, past NRF royalty, local schools, marching bands, cheerleaders, community organizations and Grand Marshal Beaumont Police Chief Jimmy Singletary along with his loyal K-9 companion, Bozzy.
